Administrative Assistant

This position provides a variety of routine and complex clerical, administrative and technical support services and assists in the administration of the standard operating policies and procedures of the company. The candidate must have and demonstrate the ability to effectively meet and deal with the public, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and the ability to handle stressful situations.

Typical Job Responsibilities:

Compose, type, and edit correspondence, reports, memorandum, proposals, and other material requiring judgment as to content, accuracy, and completeness. Prepare records such as notices, contracts, minutes, ordinances and resolutions. Schedule and register personnel for conferences, and seminars, and make travel arrangements and itineraries. Develop and maintain office forms and procedures, as applicable. Operate the following office machines as required: phone switchboard, personal computer, copy machine(s), postage machine and fax machine.

Position Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Attendance, punctuality and reliability are essential requirements
  • 5+ years of experience and must be proficient in Excel, Word and Publisher
  • 5+ years of corporate office administrative experience
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Experience with multiple telephone line systems
  • Able to type 50 wpm

Desired Qualifications:

  • Marketing proposal preparation
  • Experience with electronic document archiving
