Hakanson Anderson has been providing Engineering and Land Surveying services to municipalities and private enterprises for the past 40 years.We are currently accepting applications for 2019 summer Internships.

Typical Job Responsibilities:

Interns would provide support to Engineers, Surveyors and other staff in the field and office.This includes but is not limited to; construction observation and record keeping, construction staking, assisting in preparation of various reports, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and GIS or CAD drawings.

Requirements

• Possess the understanding of the standards of Surveying and Engineering practice and follow instructions as directed.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Physically able to work in extended outdoor conditions.
• Able to handle basic tools such as hammers, shovels, stake out rods and level rods.
• Able to work extended hours on projects around the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
• Attendance, punctuality and reliability are essential requirements.
• Possess good interpersonal skills and oral communication skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be 18 years of age at time of employment.
• Have completed 2 years of class work in a civil engineering or surveying program.

Desired Qualifications:

• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and or ArcView software.

This position is a paid internship starting at $19 per hour.This position will be paid time and a half for hours in excess of 40 per week.
