The Position
Hakanson Anderson is seeking a full time licensed Civil Engineer with 10+ years of experience. The person selected for this role will perform civil and municipal engineering and project management tasks for a wide variety of projects from the design of county and local roads, public utilities (water main, sanitary sewer, etc.), parks, trails, and related infrastructure projects. This position offers excellent advancement opportunities for motivated candidates.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work in a team environment participating in all aspects of project design and coordination
- Collaborate with project members to deliver high quality service to our clients
- Perform detailed design for portions of major projects and for entire projects of moderate scope
- Plan preparation, technical report preparation, writing specifications
- Oversee the work of EITs or Technicians as needed
- Participate in public presentations as needed
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent
- Registered as a Professional Engineer in Minnesota
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Strong technical writing and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Sense of self-initiative and ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
- Willing to work in an office environment and in the field
- Valid MN driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship or other work visa petitions.
