The purpose of this position is to perform work and assist on wetland and water resource related projects such as assisting on wetland delineations and preparing wetland permit applications. This position also includes aiding with NPDES/SWPPP inspections, MS4 inspections and education, and creating GIS exhibits and mapping.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
- Delineating wetlands per the 1987 Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation Manual and applicable Regional Supplements.
- Conduct field work, including ecological field studies, vegetation surveys, and wetland delineations.
- Compile and evaluate data to prepare plans, permits, and delineation reports.
- Review wetland permits in compliance with WCA and represent LGUs on Technical Evaluation Panels
- Assist with MS4 program implementation, education, and annual reporting, including performing NPDES/SWPPP inspections.
- Create maps, exhibits, and other deliverables utilizing GIS programming and other software.
- Perform project tasks within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school with an environmental emphasis
- Ability to conduct fieldwork for wetland, watercourse, and waterbody delineations and other ecological field surveys
- Assist with permit applications for projects affecting wetlands and waterbodies
- Strong technical writing and interpersonal skills
- Willing to work in an office environment and in the field
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship or other work visa petitions
- Valid MN Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
