Environmental Scientist / Wetland Specialist

We are seeking a full-time Environmental Scientist/Wetland Specialist to join our team. This employee will perform work on wetland and water resource related projects. Interested candidates must have experience in conducting wetland delineations and preparing wetland permit applications. The selected candidate will have knowledge of water quality regulatory programs, wetland identification including knowledge of local botany and soil science, and experience in geographic information systems (GIS) and environmental sciences.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school with an environmental emphasis
• Two or more years of relevant experience
• Ability to conduct fieldwork for wetland, watercourse, and waterbody delineations and other ecological field surveys
  
• Prepare permit applications for projects affecting wetlands and waterbodies
  
• Strong technical writing skills
  
• Strong interpersonal skills
  
• Willing to work in an office environment and in the field
  
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship or other work visa petitions
• Valid MN Driver’s License with acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Wetland Delineator in the State of Minnesota
• Experience with the Wetland Conservation Act review and permitting process
