Graduate Engineer

Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. seeks a graduate engineer in training to work at its Anoka, Minnesota location to work alongside a licensed civil engineer to design and install waterlines, sewer lines, and streets; survey proposed sites to establish reference points, grades, and elevations; analyze topographical or geologic data; study traffic patterns and environmental conditions to identify potential issues and assess project impact; plan and design systems and structures using computer-assisted design or drawing tools such as Autodesk AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D, ESRI ArcGIS, and GIS; draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts; estimate costs to determine project feasibility and develop budgets; prepare and present reports on topics such as bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and property and right-of-way descriptions; read and review project blueprints and structural specifications during implementation; monitor project progress through onsite inspections focused on applicable specifications, safety, and sanitation standards; and report maintenance problems at project sites.

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D, ESRI ArcGIS, and GIS software programs required.
